Other wildlife is also present here in large numbers, and the varied landscape holds great appeal, including Leopard Rock and Gobabis Hill with its examples of ancient rock art on the walls.

Moremi Game Reserve represents all that’s good about the Okavango Delta, both in terms of wildlife and landscapes. Moremi is a peninsula that unfurls deep into the Delta, and because it is surrounded by water and islands, the wildlife encounters can be incredible. There’s a good chance you will see the “Big 5” here. Watch for hippos and crocs in the water, and big cats, elephants, and so much more on the islands and peninsulas in between.
Today’s journey takes you into the green arteries of the Delta — either the Khwai Community Area or Moremi Game Reserve, depending on the season and wildlife movements.
